About Ásgeir Magnússon

I currently work as an IT specialist at Origo Iceland. My main job is assisting other company's through phone and Jira ticketing system as I am their IT department.Previously I worked as a technician for a telecom company in Iceland called Síminn for 17 year for various jobs, but lastly I worked for 9 years as a costumer representative assisting corporations though phone and ticketing system with problems regarding internet, mobile phones and Mobile internet, hosting of web sites, emails, remote services and many other things.I have interest in technology, music, gaming, traveling, outdoors, computers and food.I have finished a one year System Administrator course at Promennt in June 2022 where the learned to administer windows servers, and active directory, setting up computers from the ground up and mange devices through endpoint manager. I also learned to manage Microsoft cloud solution's like Office365, Azure, Teams, Sharepoint, Power Apps amoung others. I also learned more networking through a CompTIA Network+ course.I have also finished a degree from the Technical Collage of Reykjavik in computer science. I also studied at the Hotel and Food Institute in Kópavogur for one year. There I learned the basics of being a chef, baker and a waiter and have had a love for food ever since. Today it is mainly my hobby and I own many cookbooks and love to make something new. I also like all animals but own a few fishes and would like to own a dog someday. I also like playing video games, watching movies, listening to music and doing outdoor activities/exercises. I love to travel and try to experience something new every year.I am married and have two beautiful children.
