My duties were arranging funerals, collecting and preparing deceased, and conducting funerals all with assistance of procuring physical resources from local funeral director. Once the concept was proven and had built up sufficient capital from my regular job, I opened my own funeral business on the high street in 1993. Having launched my stand-alone funeral business, I took on all the responsibilities of running an SME and the development of the service and brand, which continued to strengthen over the years with funerals being facilitated across the UK. The next milestone came with the development of a location in Mumbai, India designed specifically for repatriation after death of British nationals back to the UK.Achievements: - 1997 saw the acquisition of my company by a multinational corporate to add diversity to its existing portfolio of funeral businesses. My business was quoted in the trade journal as one of the fastest growing independent funeral companies in the UK, commanding 85% market share of ethnic deaths in the region.
