About Ash Castro

I spent 16 years in the Audit & Assurance division of a mid-tier accounting firm reaching Associate Director level. This provided me with a very strong technical background and I worked with a broad range of entities across many different economic sectors. In 2007 I transferred from the Audit & Assurance division to Head of Finance & Facilities at a time when the accounting firm wanted to transform the finance & facilities function into a more professional and accountable division within the firm. In 2014 I was appointed CFO for a meat processing and wholesale private company. This was a newly created role that I was charged with making my own and responsible for identifying and implementing the necessary financial procedures and processes to add value to the business. During my time as CFO this company underwent a period of unprecedented growth.I am a hands-on leader with strong technical and analytical skills combined with strong inter-personnel skills looking to use these attributes to contribute to the growth of a company by continuously identifying areas of improvement both for the finance function as a whole and for individual members of the finance team.
