I’ve been the Scout Leader at Warden Hill Scout Group for the past 5 years, and Asst CubLeader for 2 years prior to that. The Troop currently have 30 young people aged 10-14, and providea balanced program while encouraging their direct input into what they do. We have an awesome team of leaders both in the troop and in the Group, teaching them life skills in both classroom and outdoor environments (lots of Outdoor!). The best part of being a Scout Leader is seeing the kids grow in confidence and ability as they progress through Scouting, that plus 'playing in the great outdoors' with both leaders and kids alike really does keep you young with finding new and inventive ways of doing things. My 2 boys are both Explorer Scouts now but I can't see me ever giving it up, not when life can be this much fun.

3 Peaks is a self sustaining event held over the last weekend of June, in aid of theCosta Foundation. It first started in 2007 and now raises over £120,000 per year and is thesingle largest contributor outside of Costa store activity.As the main organiser of the event I manage all aspects, from inspiring 200+ people to take part when launching it to the Costa Equity and Franchise Business, Suppliers, friends and family, through to the logistics of finding volunteers for each of the 3 bases that provide hosting, cooking hot meals and Checkpoints on the mountains. I also source and liaise with suppliers to donate the food they consume for each leg of the weekend. Each event is a over year in the making and culminates in one fantastic weekend of amazing energy and camaraderie and ultimately raising money for the Costa Foundation.The next event is being planned for 2022...www.costa3peaks.com
