Thank you for taking the time to view my Linkedin profile.I'm a Midlands based businessman whose passion lies with Jewellery, whether it be design, manufacturing, valuation or sales. Using my years of knowledge, I specialise in valuing Asian, European, Antique jewellery and watches.As a 3rd generation jeweller, I started off in the jewellery industry from an early age. From the age of 16, I was involved with the family business of manufacturing jewellery, selling jewellery and valuing pieces all over the country.After seven years of learning the nuances of my trade and gaining valuable experience, I was approached by Jewellery Appraisal Services and offered a position. Many insurers struggled with valuing Asian jewellery and also to source bespoke pieces as replacements. Using my experience, gained from the family business and understanding the culture, along with speaking five languages, I realised there was a niche market for the skills I had acquired. A new Asian Jewellery department was set up at the business and I was offered the Senior Manager’s position. My job was to evaluate, appraise, investigate claims and also detect fraudulent claims.In 2004, the business was bought out by Loss Management Group and relocated to Bath. My first role with the business was to set up their entire Asian Jewellery Department.During my time with Jewellery Appraisal Services & LMG- I highlighted cases of fraud and theft that otherwise would have gone unnoticed.- Replaced jewellery.- Created a job role for myself and set up a new department that dealt with claims from start to finish.- Provided a solution for Asian claims settlement.Claims handled for - Lloyds TSB, RBS, Aviva, Legal & General, Direct Line, NFU, RSA, Prudential, Churchill, Axa, ZurichI am now continuing in a similar role with Jewellery Direct Supply focusing on jewellery settlements within all sectors being European, Middle Eastern, Far East.
