In my current role, I provide expert management services to the practice and hold accountability for the performance and Medical Practitioners and staff, organisational review, personnel management and maximising productivity in the workplace. I play a significant part in supporting the delivery of high-quality care to patients by establishing safe and hygienic standards of care and working within the guidelines of Occupational Health and Safety Standards. I also maintain assets of the practice through continuous improvement of the operating environment and strong public relations. In case of emergencies, I implement established procedures, coordinate with the Doctor or Nurse when no guidelines exist and perform procedures in accordance with guidelines and the Practice Manual. Demonstrating interpersonal competence, I perform human resource management responsibilities such as supervising staff performance, screening and interviewing candidates for job openings and providing training and educational materials to staff. Excelling in positive and open communications, I manage practice complaints to respond to clients, record issues, recommend corrective actions and implement recommendations for a prompt and effective resolution. I also monitored and approved timecards and tracked registration requirements for the staff; conducted regular staff meetings and annual performance evaluations for the administrative staff. I also managed the outpatient department including patient admission, discharge processes, billing processes and patient satisfaction.

In this position, my primary responsibility was to monitor quality assurance records. I prepared, amended and distributed documents of all department procedures. Recognising the importance of accuracy, I conducted periodical Internal Quality Audit of the entire hospital once in three months and coordinated with Quality Coordinators to update hospital records on a monthly basis. I also gathered data to prepare monthly reports on Quality Indicators, minutes of meeting from all departments, department manuals and coordinated activities related to the Committee’s meeting. Keeping the management informed, I appraised the status of the Quality Management System in the laboratory and produced reports for the management.
