Provide financial management support to achieve GHD's financial expectations and continually review and implement actions for business improvements.Working with Service Group Managers, Project Directors, Job Managers and members of Operating Centre ManagementTeam, optimise job performance and monitor and improve job financial performance.Assist with training and development of Operating Centre Finance Team.

Reporting to the CFO Aggregates Division, the role acts as the financial interface between the Lynwood / Rooty Hill project team, the integration team, the Sydney Aggregates business and Shared Services.

Liaised with the project and site managers in relation to variations, estimate to complete, cost overruns and suppliers. Liaised with the clients in relation to current and outstanding claims, build and maintain good working relationships.Responsible for monthly Project Reviews Packs including WIP, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, corporate reporting and other contract specific reports. Ensured Project Reviews are conducted with project managers on a monthly basis or as needed depending on the nature of the contract in line with Alstom procedures. Management and reporting of multiple profit and cost centres.

Jemena an Australian infrastructure company builds, owns and maintains a combination of major gas, electricity, and water assets and specialises in both the transmission and distribution of gas and electricity.It manages more than $9 billion worth of Australian utilities assets. Formerly part of Alinta Ltd, it was sold to a consortium of Babcock and Brown and Singapore Power International in 2007.Ash was the Finance Manager of Jemena Gas & Water, with the revenue stream of $450 million and capital spend of over $200 million a year. Ash has used his accounting, systems, commercial and business skills with initiative and can do attitude to support and assist Gas Networks Asset Owner Group. Provided over-arching integrity including full year statutory and management accounts.Produced annual budgets (20 year view) and quarterly forecasts. Supported fixed asset accounting including capital settlement processes and monthly inter-company reconciliation process between entities.

Ash supported and assisted the Capital & Construction group in Jemena Asset Management and NSW Electricity. Provided finance and accounting support services (including accounts receivable and payable; Capital items and HR process support) to Business Units. Produced monthly financial reports including review of project revenue, costs, variations, commitments & project margins and assisted project team to deliver project within time, cost and safety criteria. Produced the monthly “Key Financial Project Report” and provide narratives to project report.In conjunction with managers, prepared annual budgets, controllable costs, capital budgets and quarterly forecasts for Asset Services and Asset Strategy & Development.Supported project team members in becoming confident in use of SAP and resolved any data entry issues identified.Assisted in the development of a commercial culture where managers & staff are encouraged to take ownership and accountability for their financial performance through on-going communication and active work participation.

Transformed accounts payable department and streamlined procedures, commenced process of moving 3000+ creditors Australia wide towards EFT payments.Brought 4 month behind SUN asset register to date, reconciled register (2000+ assets), monthly instead of yearly.Prepared monthly P&L reports, balance sheets, BAS returns, annual budgets, forecasts, financial reports for Government and funding authorities (quarterly/ annual returns).
