I oversee the day to day media relations and press office for the UK’s national body for humanities and social sciences. My responsibilities include:- Managing a small but busy team of three- Acting as communications lead on a number of strategic projects, including a capital redevelopment and campaigns and advocacy to make the case for our disciplines to influential audiences- Shaping strategic and stakeholder messaging, working with teams across the organisation including Development, Events and Policy- Advising and shaping corporate and reputational communications - Profile work and thought leadership for President and senior leadership team

I developed and implemented PR campaigns across a number of strategic priority areas and partnerships for the Library, including:- The Library’s UK wide network of small business support, which secured £13million public investment and grew from 15 to over 100 library based locations during my time as PR lead- Exhibitions, including ‘Cats on the Page’ and ‘Gold’, both attracting 4 and 5 star reviews across a range of national media- The Eccles Centre & Hay Festival Writer’s Award - a £20,000 literary prize- A number of research projects and partnerships, including ‘Agents of Enslavement’ for which I secured coverage in the Guardian, ‘Living With Machines’, a £5million project and the first to unite historians and AI scientists to discover new ways of analysing historical material at scale, the British Library x British Fashion Council student competition, partnerships with the National Trust, University of Manchester and more - Digitisation projects including the Library’s unique collection of rare and antique globes, which was covered by BBC Click due to its bespoke digitisation equipment and methods- Acquisitions including the Granta archive and the Theatre Workshop archive, both receiving national print and broadcast coverage
