As an award-winning journalist and audio producer, I'm passionate about covering important issues in an immersive, compelling and innovative way.In my copywriting career, I've helped brands ranging from Audible and Google to small but scrappy startups identify their voice, develop content strategy, and produce eye-catching social, email and web copy as well as long-form content. I can write to a brief and adapt quickly to an existing brand voice, but I'm happiest when I'm helping brands explore fresh, surprising new voices that cut through the copy noise and connect with new audiences.In my journalism career, I've created award-winning audio and written content. Im my long-form documentary podcast, Unfinished: Short Creek, I immersed myself in a fundamentalist Mormon town reeling from the imprisonment of their prophet, Warren Jeffs, reporting, writing and hosting a podcast that The New Yorker listed as one of the Top 3 Podcasts of 2020. My writing on climate grief for The Believer won an honorary mention in the Best American Science and Nature Writing 2023, and was anthologized in the best-selling climate book, All We Can Save. My writing has also appeared in Rolling Stone, NPR, and Narratively -- among other outlets. I'm currently working on a narrative documentary podcast about the water crisis in the Southwestern U.S., rafting 1,500 miles of the Colorado River to ask big questions about the future of settlement in that arid region.I'm also a book consultant who helps artists identify their blocks and find their voice.
