As an Advance Care Paramedic for over Twenty Years, I have held supervisory roles as Officer in Charge, duty officer, workplace health and safety, group and individual training and assessment, patient diagnosis/treatment and scene controller in many different emergency situations. These roles have availed opportunities in advancing my skills in leadership, team building, and negotiation, whilst collaborating both internal and external parties to progress towards a common goal. I have well developed skills in communication, diagnostic critical analysis, risk assessment, analytical thinking, and public speaking. These are all transferable skills, that can be utilised in many different scenarios away from the emergency setting. Whilst able to work autonomously, I am also team orientated and always mindful of organisational goals. I am hard working, self-motivated, goal orientated, articulate, directional, caring, capable of achieving under difficult circumstances and always with an emphasis on safety. I have strong situational awareness which is strengthened by solid communication skills, these abilities only seek to enhance my special interest in Workplace Health & Safety. I believe in empowerment through knowledge and acknowledge the positive corporate benefits it can yield.
