As editor-in-chief, I was in charge of managing Morgan State University's student-run newspaper. I was directly responsible for the the management, publication and integrity of the paper. The MSU Spokesman switched to digital two years before I signed on, so I was in-charge of managing online advertising, uploading content via Wordpress and managing our social media presence. As editor-in-chief, I was also responsible for managing a team of 8 staff reporters and a host of other "freelance"​ reporters in the university's Digital Newsroom Room. I planned stories, wrote editorials, reported and made sure that reporters submitted stories on deadline. I scheduled and conducted editorial meetings to discuss goals and assignments for the upcoming week.
