Asha Maxey, the founder and principal designer of Asha Maía Design, is an award-winning Northern Virginia Interior Designer with a passion for making things beautiful. She fell in love with interior design at a very young age, from the moment her parents let her select her bedroom drapery. It was at that moment, after seeing her selections in her space, that she understood the power and impact that interior design had on the way one felt. She learned that interior design was not only beautiful, but also impactful on our daily lives.Asha currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside of the nation's capital, but was born and raised in Michigan. She attributes her upbringing to shaping and molding her signature design style. Growing up in the fresh open air of her family's ten acres, which featured beautiful rolling hills, lush greenery, and picturesque blue skies, lent itself to her love of fresh and airy spaces. Along with her clean and airy aesthetic, she loves to incorporate texture, pattern, and color in unexpected ways. Her love for home and design shines throughout her work.Now, as the owner and principal designer of Asha Maía Design, she's devoted to creating beautiful interiors that elevate and inspire. Her personal connection to each project and her client-focused design process sets her apart from other Northern Virginia interior designers.
