Every 6-7 minutes someone dies in the US from an opioid overdose. Pocket Naloxone Corp., spun out from IANA Health, is working on an over-the-counter version of Naloxone, the antidote to reversing opioid overdoses. Previously, before leaving to set up IANA Health, I built the marketing function for SOC Telemed. I hired full-time and contract staff, introduced the organization to key industry groups and signed strategic partnerships to bring SOC to the table to be part of the industry dialog as well as to open doors for speakerships, content marketing, and lead generation initiatives. I developed a promotional and content library of videos, brochures, white papers, and case studies. I wrote a lead generation playbook for the internal sales team. Implementation of the integrated demand / lead gen plan I initiated saw traffic rise 6x within weeks. At Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, I led key projects such as customer segmentation and targeting, strategic and uptake forecasts, ATU and other standard primary and secondary market research, and weekly brand performance reporting.I founded a non-profit, So Others May See, while living in Sri Lanka. SOMS covered over 1.2 million lives. I developed a population health management model whereby children are screened for vision defects and follow-up care is provided for under $0.20 per child; these same children and adults received quality, custom-made eyeglasses for just $6. This work received an award from the Sri Lankan government in 2014."Some people look at the way things are and ask why. I dream of things to be and ask, why not."-Robert F. Kennedy*
