Responsible for leading the corporate finance and advisory department which involves business origination and execution in areas like M&A, debt restructuring and capital raise along with general advisory assignments of financial and tariff modeling, feasibility reports, business plans, etc. Key responsibilities: Work closely with the senior management team to plan, execute and complete engagements across multiple industries. The role revolves around:  Assist clients in the presentation of the appropriate financial solutions  Manage expectations of clients, in making sure deadlines are met, and to manage client billing and collections Maintain relationships with client management  Creating financial models, valuation, financial structuring, data analysis, preparing business reports Take responsibility of a portfolio of projects Instrumental in developing relationship with foreign partners for business related to Pakistan through local representation arrangement.

Worked as team lead for advisory transactions related to group primarily involving target evaluation, transaction marketing, legal and regulatory reviews, etc.

Responsible for execution of transaction ranging from general financial advisory involving investor documentation, due diligence, financial modelling, etc. to more specialized advisory work of mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, equity offerings, acquisition finance and private equity. Our primary clientele during this time remains the sponsors or the investors of banking institutes.  Advised transactions worth over USD 1 billion in banking and power sector  Remained key member of portfolio advisory team and advised portfolio worth over PKR 2 billion.

The role involved cradle to grave deal screening, due diligence, negotiations and deal closing followed by an active role in portfolio management. Some of the priority sectors are logistics, supply chain, energy, real estate and infrastructure. The focus had been towards acquisition and revival of distressed assets. Some of the projects wherein investments have been made are Japan Power Generation, Progas Pakistan, etc.

Prepared client specific presentations on Future of Islamic HNWI, Prospects of Securitization in Asia-Pacific & Middle East, Analysis of Steel Business Worldwide and etc. Worked on various research and financial reports for leading companies like Mittal Steel, Colgate Palmolive, and others.

The job included business development and portfolio management of HNWI. I played key role in the launching of AKD Trade in North Region with clientele going up to one thousand complimented by substantial increase in volumes.
