Paid fellowship opportunity for Bay Area youth to collaborate and develop a national dialogue regarding Teen Economic Abuse (TEA). Was selected to work within a cohort of 11 other youth. Primarily build awareness through social media posts, infographics, podcasts, etc, geared toward fellow youth, parents, or school administrators to try and prevent this type of abuse. Organized the first ever conference to discuss TEA with educators from numerous school districts across the nation.

Selected to be MFOL's California Spokesperson based on my actions on the regional stage. Represent the state and its unique needs in terms of gun violence prevention policies on the national stage.

Founded the Fremont chapter of March for Our Lives Co-organized MFOL's 5th Anniversary Rally on March 24th, 2023, at the California State Capitol in Sacramento. Delivered a speech about the intersection between intimate partner violence (IPV) and gun violence at this rally. Planned MFOL's first ever lobby day in California at the State Capitol in Sacramento on August 28, 2023. Lobbied/advocated for the senate to pass AB28, which would impose a modest excise tax on all firearm/firearm-related sales, where the collected revenue would be directed toward violence prevention programs. Speaker at Children Now’s 2023 Youth Leadership Summit, presenting on the five key forces of GV and the ways that MFOL has fought and continues to fight against the epidemic.

Assisting on the University of Washington's research project which assesses the impact and implementation of state laws for adolescent intimate partner violence (IPV). The study aims to evaluate how effective state laws regarding IPV are in terms of preventing or reducing violence, evaluate the implementation of such laws in school districts, improve knowledge of barriers to IPV policy implementation, and test/develop a toolkit for school districts to improve/implement such policy. Intern with Team Stronger Than You Think (STYT), which advocates against teen dating violence (TDV) through community education and engagement. Assist with organizing and leading youth summits, such as Symbiosis, which is an annual event for youth in the community to learn about healthy relationships and intersecting topics to TDV. Have turnouts of 150+ youth. Create and lead workshops, as well as table, at local high schools to fill in the gap that exists regarding education about relationships and dating violence.

Drafted 20+ letters as personal correspondence for the Senator. Attended a U.S. Department of State briefing and researched the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC), writing memos for both. Researched and compiled a multi-page policy proposal on the Teen Dating Violence Prevention Act (H.R. 7930) and presented my findings to staff. Gathered morning news clips for the D.C. office and tallied over 1k calls and voicemails each week. Assisted constituents with casework inquiries and requests with agencies such as SSA and Medicare on live phones. Represented the Senator at a private tour of the Federal Reserve of San Francisco.

Assisted staff attorneys with tasks such as drafting/sending retainer agreements and closing letters. Reached out to different court departments or law centers to schedule appointments. Sat-in on collaborative court appointments and legal intakes. Created resource guides and presentations discussing topics such as consent and boundaries, youth interactions with law enforcement, and the basics of domestic violence and how to seek justice through the legal route. Presented at local community-based organizations which help underprivileged, target youth and juvenile hall.

Taught beginner speech and debate students in a variety of events, such as SPAR,an extemporaneous format with limited prep time to help new student develop quick argumentation and speaking skills, as well as master the foundations of debate to ensure success in competitive circuit events Also taught Public Form (PF), a partner event that adopts a policymaker paradigm and primarily asks debaters to evaluate the harms or benefits of some policy or action, and Lincoln Douglas (LD), an individual event that places a heavy emphasis on debating if a resolution is morally or ethically just.

Collaborated and engaged with other youth members involved in IPV awareness and prevention organizations across California to help create CPEDV’s 2023 Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month campaign. Informed a toolkit for “how to be an advocate” that was distributed across California schools. Delivered a speech about the need for prevention at CPEDV's Orange Day Rally, was interviewed by many local news outlets, featured in national news reports, and led numerous legislative meetings with state assembly members.
