Asha Sridhar Heads the Food Safety Division for TUV INDIA Pvt Ltd a subsidiary of TUV Nord Germany. With a presence in more than 70 countries, TUV NORD is the market leader in Product and process certifications and inspections. She is responsible for the P and L ratio and a qualified Veto and Senior Auditor for International Food safety standards like HACCP, ISO 22000, FAMIQS,BRC, GLOBAL GAP, to name a few . She was a distinguished speaker at the SCWEC SAARC conference 2011 and gave a presentation on food safety certifications in Asia, to the women entrepreneurs. She has been associated with the food industry for the last 18 years and has got hands on experience in Food Production, designing kitchens, Training, Food safety procedures, statutory requirements, and Turnkey project on Laboratory, Accreditations, Marketing and Strategy Planning and has audited over 500 food processing units worldwide and authored 6 books on food safety .She is passionate about her work and loves to work with students as a guide and mentor. She believes in people are key strength for a company. Her key strength is she is very positive person and open to challenges and believes change is constant.  Driving force behind TUV, for bagging the prestigious GIZ project, this is a public-private partnership project which targets the food processers thus enabling them to develop a FSMS in line with international standards. This project, addressed food safety related issues thru a series of trainings for the SME’s, thus aiming to eliminate this profound gap in food safety and quality that exists across the Indian industry.
