- Responsible for guiding and implementing the overall strategic direction of the Bank. - Working closely with executive leadership to identify opportunities for growth and development, while ensuring alignment with the Bank’s vision and mission.- Conducting extensive research and analysis to identify emerging trends and market opportunities, as well as developing actionable strategies to capitalize on these trends. - Responsible for developing and managing the Bank’s annual strategic plan, ensuring that objectives are met on time and within budget.- Oversee the Bank’s planning process, provide guidance and support to departmental leaders to ensure that plans are aligned with the Bank’s overall goals and objectives. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational challenges and implement process improvements that drive greater efficiency and effectiveness.

• Perform a comprehensive competitor analysis for 38 banks, including financial metrics and differentiation.• Plan and evaluate the performance metrics for the investor relations function through assessment of the minimum of four meetings annually.• Review operational changes through ongoing contacts with management, and develop investor relations messages based on changes across over 24 functions. • Compile and analyse data for over 600,000+ customers across four countries to provide insights on deposits and liquidity.• Strengthen the investor relations function, facilitating at least four investor relations meetings annually to address queries on the bank’s operations.• Gather information, writing, and designing over 100 pages of the bank’s integrated report since 2018. • Conceived the Bank’s ESG function, leading the implementation of over 70 work streams across strategy development, governance & oversight review, risk management and reporting.• Prepare four keyboard papers and packs; Strategic risk, Industry analysis, Investor presentation & new initiatives across East Africa.• Analyse banking sector involving comparison of 38 Kenyan banks’ balance sheets, statements of profit and loss and other disclosures.• Review IFRS 9 data models for the group every quarter.• Spearheaded three enterprise-wide projects through initial scoping, policy and procedure recommendations, project management and implementation and conceived departments from ground level.• Develop and monitor the group strategy to increase specific key performance indicators such as the customer base to over 10 million customers. • Plan, coordinate and attend 13 management committee meetings covering over 19 departments of the Bank, providing insights, reviewing minutes and meeting packs.

Completed a rigorous two-year Graduate Management Trainee program involving working at a grass-root level in over 20 departments of the bank, covering areas beyond banking. Key outcomes of the 18-month programme included:.• Gained a 360 view of how all 20 departments of the bank integrate and operate.• Exposed to over 100 Policies and Procedures, apprehended and evaluated performance. • Evaluated nearly 20 trainers of the particular function of the Bank, and contributing to strategic changes in the respective functions.

• Trained in the Foreign Affairs department, administering paperwork, passport control, visa issuing and renewal for the Third Secretary.• Learned about international diplomacy on a national and local level and the micro and macro-economic factors affecting two countries; Afghanistan and the United States' foreign policy towards Afghanistan. • Exposed to a networking environment with delegates from over 10 countries and gained perspective on diverse cultures.
