Cryogenic low-noise amplifier in TSMC 65-nm CMOS for use on the Dominion Radio Astrophysics Observatory (DRAO) Synthesis Telescope.• Operates from 0.9 to 1.8 GHz, consumes 125 mW of power, provides an average gain of 37.2 dB, an input return loss greater than 10 dB, and a minimum noise temperature (figure) of 2.3 K (0.03 dB).Noise-matched low-power 10-GHz oscillator for use in quantum computers in 65-nm CMOS (to be tested).• Simulated results show 6 dB improvement in phase noise for a given power consumption and tank inductor as compared to a traditional LC oscillator.Low-dropout (LDO) regulator and temperature sensor in 65-nm CMOS (to be tested).Developed and validated a system to measure S-parameters and noise parameters at cryogenic temperatures.Experience with schematic and layout in GF 22-nm FDSOI CMOS and GF 12-nm FinFET CMOS PDKs.Assisted and taught other researchers in integrated circuit design, packaging, and measurement.

• Co-founded organization to assist students in finding research opportunities in aerospace fields.• Completed system and electrical design of a payload with an objective to find correlation between VLF signature and gamma radiation from lightning strikes for the High-Altitude Student Platform supported by Louisiana State University (LSU) and NASA Balloon Program Office.• Supervised design of electronic payload for a student rocket project to be flown in a competition in the USA.

16 month internship position from May 2015 till August 2015• Designed and tested PCBs for the ABOVE Low-Noise Amplifier and Analog to Digital Convertor.• Tested and characterized very low and extremely low frequency (VLF/ELF) receiver system for gain and phase response, and noise from 0 Hz to 100 kHz.• Implemented a signal processing algorithm including a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) on a Xilinx FPGA.• Completed various software optimizations on the MicroBlaze embedded processor within a Xilinx FPGA.• Assembled and deployed VLF/ELF antenna and receiver system to various sites across western Canada.• Completed field diagnostics and repairs of VLF/ELF receiver and optical scientific instruments.
