Cryogenic low-noise amplifier in TSMC 65-nm CMOS for use on the Dominion Radio Astrophysics Observatory (DRAO) Synthesis Telescope.• Operates from 0.9 to 1.8 GHz, consumes 125 mW of power, provides an average gain of 37.2 dB, an input return loss greater than 10 dB, and a minimum noise temperature (figure) of 2.3 K (0.03 dB).Noise-matched low-power 10-GHz oscillator for use in quantum computers in 65-nm CMOS (to be tested).• Simulated results show 6 dB improvement in phase noise for a given power consumption and tank inductor as compared to a traditional LC oscillator.Low-dropout (LDO) regulator and temperature sensor in 65-nm CMOS (to be tested).Developed and validated a system to measure S-parameters and noise parameters at cryogenic temperatures.Experience with schematic and layout in GF 22-nm FDSOI CMOS and GF 12-nm FinFET CMOS PDKs.Assisted and taught other researchers in integrated circuit design, packaging, and measurement.
