My journey in technology began with a foundation in analytical thinking, built during my time at Royal College, and later expanded through a Software Engineering degree at the University of Central Lancashire. Early on, I realized the impact that well-crafted software could have on businesses and communities, fueling my passion for solving real-world challenges through technology.I began my career as a Backend Developer Intern at Webstazy One, where I developed ERP, POS, and Inventory Management Systems using the MEAN stack. This role allowed me to navigate each stage of the SDLC, working closely with clients to ensure that our solutions met their needs and expectations. I then joined Virtusa as a Technology Intern, where I focused on backend development with Java Spring Boot, particularly through the Iron Mountain project. This experience strengthened my skills in API testing, cloud-based development with AWS, and collaboration with senior developers, laying a solid foundation for my career.My professional journey truly accelerated at ABR Holidays, where I started as a Junior Software Engineer and grew into a Senior Systems Engineer. During this time, I led both frontend and backend projects and developed core systems for cost management, itinerary planning, and CRM integration, transforming our internal operations and enhancing customer experiences. Beyond my technical contributions, I focused on mentoring junior developers, building a cohesive team culture, and recruiting talented professionals who shared our commitment to quality.Outside of my roles, I was honored with NASA’s Best Project award at the 2020 NASA Space Apps Challenge. Competing globally, our team developed a project that showcased the power of innovation in space exploration—a validation of my dedication to technology’s potential. Additionally, I co-developed the Ocean App to raise awareness about marine pollution, featuring an interactive map of pollution hotspots to educate users. This project reflects my commitment to using technology for environmental impact.Today, I’m excited by opportunities where I can blend technical expertise with purpose-driven leadership, creating solutions that make a difference.
