Following 34 years of service with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and with the Israel National Police, Chief Superintendent (ret.) Asher Ben Artzi has retired to civilian life.In his tenure with the Israel National Police, he served as the Director of INTERPOL and Foreign Liaison. In this post, Chief Superintendent Ben Artzi administered and directed the Israel Police Interpol Division and was responsible for interchange of criminal intelligence with other international police services, and with intelligence agencies dealing with drugs and organized crime.Chief Supt. Ben Artzi duties was dealing with international drugs traffiking and organized crime.He commanded and was in-charge of the Israel Police attaché and representatives overseas and responsible for liaison and communication with foreign police and intelligence representetives in Israel.Prior to his appointment as the director of INTERPOL , Chief Supt. Ben Artzi served several years as the Director of the Security Department of the Israel National Police .His responsibilities included supervising the Police and the Border Police regional security officers. He was responsible for the following police’s operations : General security; Data security; I T ; security debriefing and background checks; Operations’ security.After his retirement he continues to impact the security, intelligence and cyber fields. He is a Research Associate of the ICT, the International Institute for Counter -Terrorism, has a seat in the board of some intelligence companies, and the founder of IPSC : Intelligence, Police & Security Consultant Inc.
