I started my career working for Peacocks in their warehouse near Cardiff. After being passed over for promotion and advancement opportunities due to my young age and lack of experience, I moved to a lineman working for Bosh near Cardiff. After they moved away and laid off all their staff, I took a part-time position as a lunchtime supervisor at the school Tonypandy Community College, a job which I loved and thoroughly enjoyed despite only working part time hours.I then began to move into care work. Whilst still working at the College, I began caring for an able young man who had suffered damage to both his brain and body, which caused Epileptic fits at random intervals. I managed both for some time until I had to prioritize the full-time job. After some time, I was offered some cleaning jobs with Minster Cleaning, which fit in well and was a little extra income. I also acquired a caretaker job for Valley Kids and enjoyed it and the building they acquired greatly. However, they had to discontinue my role but offered to employ me, as a separate company as a cleaner. It was from this that I started my own cleaning company and even had several employees to cover the jobs that I could no longer manage. Until COVID, the company did well, and was known as Thomas Cleaner Services. I then began to move into more complex care and by the time COVID did hit I was working for another family with a client with much more complicated needs. Then as I was already doing the job of a nurse, I thought about being one and needed a less cognitive job while I studied so became a delivery driver. To sum up, I have extensive experience in all kinds of health and care and even working with young people. I've tried and worked in all kinds of environments and with a variety of different people. I've had to have excellent communication skills and be in trusted positions. I've managed my own staff, along with Rota's, holidays and payroll, and accounting as well as advertisement, and I have been responsible for tax and tax returns and was able to produce and develop an effective team of employees.I then began university in 2022, studying a BSc Psychology. Through the variety of different employment opportunities in my past, as well as through my own personal development and education, I have been able to work effectively under pressure to meet hard academic deadlines and have continued to enrich my knowledge of my subject area. I've already come far within the university, and I have been able to adapt, learn, and manage time to most effectively utilise my abilities and limitations.
