Responsible for managing the sales support for Commercial & Business Services (C&BS) loan production teams. Ensuring maximum pull through for Commercial Real Estate and Business Banking loans while overseeing the support team for all C&BS Annual Term Loan Reviews. Provide highest quality service for existing and prospective BECU business members while managing overall production volume between the Business Sales Support team. Serve as primary liaison between Business Loan Operations, Business Underwriting, Sales Team, & Third Party vendors.

Crisis Connections Volunteers serve as public aids and assists callers in emotional de-escalation. Volunteers are also a directory for callers to in-person mental health services, medical clinics, shelters, & food aid facilities.

Manage day to day activity of the teams responsible for Consumer and Commercial loan operations.Analyze and resolve non-routine and/or moderately complex operational challenges often requiring research and partnership with other business unit managers or subject matter experts. Develop and maintain necessary controls to protect the integrity of the Bank’s resources and assets from fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement.

Perform consumer loan underwriting to achieve loan quality standards. Responsible for administering lending underwriting within approved guidelines and monitoring and reporting variances.Evaluate consumer and home equity loan applications, appraisals, title insurance reports and necessary verifications to approve, deny or pend loans based on consumer or home equity loan criteria. Preparing consumer and home equity loan documents for processing. Preparing and reviewing final loan documents for loan closing.Comply with all state and federal regulations and compliance standards, including: Identify Theft Protection Plan (ITPP), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Customer Information Privacy (CIP), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) as well as Credit Union policies and procedures.

• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and applicable ratios(i.e. Debt ratios, loan-to-value); evaluating; examining transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of credit characteristics • Evaluate and ensure overall loan documents are accurate, complete, and compliant; review financial statements, credit reports, applicable debt-to-income ratios, loan-to-value and supporting documents to determine financial risk, profitability and borrowers credit worthiness.• Implement fraud detection techniques, contact borrower and partners to gather pertinent information to make appropriate credit decisions, perform compliance reviews consistent with lending guidelines, and explain rationale behind credit decision.

• Obtain and thoroughly examine and scrutinize loan documents to ensure validity, accuracy and completeness, substantiate borrower income and/or assets and mitigate the potential for any unnecessary losses.• Contact borrower and partners to gather pertinent information needed to make appropriate credit decisions, perform compliance reviews consistent with lending guidelines, and explain to borrowers rationale behind credit decision.• Ensure prompt and timely follow up with borrowers and third party vendors to arrange final document signing and closings and serve as liaison to resolve or clarify any questions or concerns the borrower may have throughout the process. • Verify required loan disclosures, order credit reports and appraisals, prepare verification of deposit and employment and reconcile all required documents for underwriting.
