At Gordon Salon, the scope of my role and responsibilities evolved drastically. What began as a part-time position eventually led to an incredibly rewarding season as a full-time contributing member of the organizational leadership team (i.e. Operations Lead and Salon Manager).During the latter portion of my tenure, I was responsible for:* Leading a diverse group of individuals toward the achievement of daily key performance indicators, monthly company-wide initiatives, as well as quarterly objectives and key results;* Ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across five locations through the curation and implementation of a comprehensive and equitable on-boarding, training, and professional development program for front desk staff;* Facilitating exponential growth through consistent team-wide pursuit of established benchmarks at the salon level, yielding a significant increase in gross monthly revenue as well as staff size for the Evanston location over two years;* “Creating beauty and wellness for humanity and inspiring careers for our team” while overseeing the provision of services, products, and rituals rooted in the Ayurvedic tradition. In this time, my solutions-oriented leadership style had a direct and positive impact on the company's operational efficiency, revenue sales, customer service experience, and team morale.
