The Youth Cinema Project (YCP) is project based learning that produces competent, resilient, real world problem-solvers and bridges the achievement and opportunity gaps by creating lifelong learners and the entertainment industry’s multicultural future.

In a nutshell, my passion for creativity and constant learning is accompanied by the thrill of production. I’m not a creator who just wants to get a project out the door. I’m the creator who actually wants to workshop and deliver the best quality story possible. This is what I love to do.I firmly believe in working hard, working together, and having fun along the way.

For students and alumni of the Naval Postgraduate School, the Trident Room is an integral and well-known contributor to academic success and great ideas. The Mole Stage provides workshops and seminars to film students, providing them with a “hands on” education in cinematography, lighting, and electricity. Subjects include: - An introduction to different types of lighting instruments and their uses - Basic electricity using standard house power - Shaping light with assorted light modifiers and grip equipment - Set etiquette and what’s expected of the various positions on a set - Safety and best practices - High output lighting fixtures that require on-set power distribution - 120v, 208v, single-phase and three-phase power systems - Distribution systems and common configurations
