This position is situated at the National Department of Health; Pretoria. It involves devising a turn around strategy for the Infrastructure Unit at the National office as well as the 9 Provincial Units in the respective Departments of Health. I am presently the Capacity Building Workstream Leader (Project lead) and have been tasked to:• Systematically analyse the current infrastructure delivery cycle (profile) including processes, reporting lines and governance for National Department of Health, Provincial Departments of Health, Implementing Agencies (Department of Works, IDT, etc) and Provincial Treasuries.• Review of capacity of NDoH Infrastructure Unit / vis-a-vis requirements• System re-engineering: Design "to-be" programme and project management methods combining best practice and best practice from Infrastructure Delivery Improvement Programme (IDIP) including processes, reports, governance, structure and skills• Review capacity of PDOH & IA Infrastructure Units in relation to operating model• Support the Infrastructure Delivery Improvement Programme (IDIP) HR service delivery process by developing a rollout and support plan with IDIP team combining best practice• Review "to be" model with Infrastructure Delivery Management Programme (IDIP) service delivery model• Receive feedback from work streams regarding gaps in capability in the various areas and design appropriate capacity interventions• Develop coach the coach material and workshop with Project Support Management Unit workstream leads to assist in the rollout in the provinces• Train and coach NDoH and provincial teams on Programme Management processes
