Additionally, supporting the early stage assessment of AC thermal fluid systems in the context of balancing energy requirements for cabin AC, drive unit and traction battery cooling in various usage cases.Engineering Project Management - use of APQP, SmartSheets, Microsoft Project and internal business tools to ensure all deliverables are compliant with the programme timing requirements, along with supplier management.Engineering Feasibility Assessment - review of new content proposed by Programme stakeholders at the initial stages of the vehicle lifecycle and providing a summary of the impacts, such as extent engineering activities required, costs (tooling, piece part, facilities), and attributes (occupant experience).Climate Attributes - ensuring the Climate Control system hardware design delivers the respective attributes performance targets for functions such as cabin heating, glazing defrost and demist, and cabin air conditioning. Furthermore, capturing changes to interior materials content and ensuring their compliance to Vehicle Interior Air Quality (VIAQ) market requirements through physical validation at material and whole vehicle levels.Issues Management – utilising 8D process tools to outline the problem definition, root cause and permanent corrective action for issues associated with engineering design, bill of materials, manufacturing or attributes.
Lead Engineer - Bespoke
Engineering delivery of new interior and exterior content for a variety of ‘Bespoke’ projects, ranging from extended customer choice derived from an existing catalogue of materials and personalisation technologies, to all new and unique content.Responsibilities involved, but were not limited to;- Engineering Feasibility - analysing proposed Design/styling content and determining affect on product integrity based on Engineering fundamentals in addition to all internal and external technical and regulatory standards.
