I was Managing Director in PwC’s National Office, PwC's accounting think-tank, providing technical accounting advice and thought leadership on complex accounting matters. I specialized in mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, consolidation, business combinations, lease and financial instruments accounting. Before my appointment with PwC, I worked in strategic and financial planning in the ocean transportation industry where I played a key role in raising $500 million from global sources under tough economic conditions. I obtained a BS degree in Physics from Bombay University, India, and MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India's premier management school set up in collaboration with Harvard. I am a CPA (retired). I am the founding president of IIM Americas (www.iimamericas.org), a not for profit organization which represents Americas based alumni of the Indian Institutes of Management("IIMs") and its affiliate IIM USA (a 501c3 not for profit organization). The IIMs are the original pioneers of management education and research in India and today rank among the best business schools across the world. I am passionate about connecting the pan IIM alumni living and working in the Americas.I was adjunct professor at the the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University where I taught accounting to MBA students.I am based in San Francisco/Silicon Valley.
