Skill Shala, a youth-driven initiative, has been selected among the top 15 startups in the KMC Business Hub: Urban Innovation Program, a collaboration between the Kathmandu Metropolitan City(KMC) and United Nations Development Programme(UNDP). Our goal is to establish an online platform that connects learners with experienced tutors, offering a diverse range of skill sets and courses to equip young individuals with practical career experience.

We presented a plan for the design and manufacture of a portable, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective power generation device that utilizes gravitational potential energy as an alternative source of power for streetlights in the Kathmandu Valley.Our idea was selected for the six-month incubation process in the Smart Urban Technology Challenge 2018, where we were the youngest participant to be selected in the Top 40 ideas in the Urban Infrastructure Category. Our innovative solution was recognized as a promising approach to addressing the need for sustainable and reliable power sources in urban areas.
