- Currently working on the delivery of the FRP scope for the structural concrete works of the Powerhouse on the Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project, a 250MW renewable energy scheme joint venture between McConnell Dowell and John Holland and is a flagship project of the Kidston Clean Energy Hub in Far-North Queensland, utilising an abandoned gold mine with the Wises and Eldridge Pits acting as the upper and lower reservoirs (Max 218m water head) that can generate, store and release renewable energy on demand during peak cycles. - Previously worked on the construction planning and delivery for the pipeline scope of works of the Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline Project in Central Queensland, a joint venture between McConnell Dowell and BMD constructing a 117km pipeline that runs from the Lower Fitzroy River in Rockhampton and connects to Gladstone Area Water Board’s existing water network at Yarwun, comprising of a water treatment plant, reservoirs and pump stations along its alignment including Laurel Bank, Alton Downs and Aldoga and addressing the single source water supply risk from Awoonga Dam and enabling long-term water security for the region including supporting Gladstone’s emerging hydrogen and renewables industry with a capacity to transport 30 gigalitres of water per annum from the Fitzroy River to Gladstone.

Projects are based on integrated building science, innovation, and sustainable design solutions to positive energy homes. Participated in Solar Decathlon Design Challenge 2019, a design competition organized by the US Department of Energy, in single suburban family (SSF) home division incorporating ten design contests in relation to net-zero energy and sustainable building science as part of Monash Solar Decathlon Team.Responsibilities:✦ Proposed an architectural design for a single suburban family home at Ashwood in Melbourne with the goal of net-zero energy and sustainable building science based on 10 design challenge contests, including engineering, market feasibility, occupant experience, energy performance, comfort, and environmental quality.✦ Identified the location of the proposed development, taking local landscape, demographics, and cultural heritage into account.✦ Developed an innovative building system design solution with smart technologies focused on maximising energy efficiency while ensuring affordable property and market demand.✦ Performed energy modelling of the house using REM/Rate software to propose adequate heating, ventilation, and cooling solutions, promoting thermal efficiency.✦ Determined the number of solar collectors required and how these would be used alongside a BioPCM to meet the heating and cooling demands of the house to maintain a healthy indoor living environment.Achievements:► Designed a net-zero energy home for the Ashwood suburb in Melbourne, maintaining the traditional Australian suburban heritage, resembling culture, and surrounding neighbourhood.► Retrofitted technologies such as the HVAC system into elements of the house to improve thermal comfort and sustainability performance of the home-based on energy modelling.► Optimised passive heating and cooling through shading systems, natural ventilation, and orientation of different rooms and facilities within the house.
