This role provided me insights into the workings of an entrepreneurial environment. Given a small team, I was provided the opportunity to learn the following:• What started off as an Operations Management role where I handled procurement of industrial goods (special steel, graphite flakes, calcined bauxite et al) evolved into a Sales role where I was allowed to also scout out sales opportunities and negotiate contracts for the sale of these goods.• Functioned as a Project Manager for Steel fabrication and erection works (some projects include crafting a test bed for HAL plane engines and improving the efficiency of the heating process for VSP's blast furnace ladles)

My internship was aimed at gaining an insight into the workings of an industry with a focus on leveraging technology in Marketing.I was given an immersive course into some of the major departments including - • Raw Materials Department - procurement related processes and tracking methods• Marketing - did a project on the application of an MIS at the Steel Plant• Finance Department - overview on IPO-related considerations and processes. Guided through basic corporate finance applications.• Brief overview into the workings of Human Resources Department & Material Management Department
