Handling the team of Five persons Looking after the Servers and Desktops

 Involved in troubleshooting of PC/ LAN/ Server; installation and configuration of DHCP and  Handling the SACK server for Library and Admin department. Maintaning the website and upgrading time to time.  Responsible for daily back up for the application software with Linux base for the university library.  Responsible for the maintains of Windows desktop Pc’s nearly 585 number. Maintains of Network infrastructure and trouble shooting network problems.  Teaching courses to staff and student across the university.

 IBM Server Management  DNS Server installation and configuration and IP address resolving on Linux. Security policy implementation on DNS server. IP base and name base address resolving.  Web server maintenance and watching processes on web server.  Multiple web site hosting on same web server (English and Hindi). Clustering of two nodes web server using Linux, Apache, MySql, and PHP. Mail Server Management including user creation and deletion, periodically backups of mails. Using mailing software Mithi Mail.  Database server management including MySql administration, data migration from one server to other using cron job at particular time and troubleshooting. Server Hardware Maintenance and upgradation, if required  Installed and configure IBM SDLT 320 Tape Drive over Linux and using it for backup and restore. Network Management  Installing, Configuring, Monitoring CISCO core layer Routers 3745 for WAN Technologies with IDS (Intrusion Detection System) Installing, Configuring, Monitoring Cisco PIX 515E Firewall with ASDM (Adaptive Security Device Manager). Installing, Configuring, Monitoring 3COM layer2/3 Switches. Installing, Configuring, Monitoring Cisco 500 series Content Engine with SmartFilter. Monitoring Network connectivity on PRTG (Paessler Router Traffic Grapher).

Key Responsibilities: Involved in troubleshooting of PC/ LAN/ Server; installation and configuration of DNS, DHCP and Samba Server; installation and administration of Proxy, Sendmail server.  Handling the configuration of RAID, LVM and Quota devices. Hosting the website and maintaining the same by utilising Apache server.  Responsible for daily back up for the application software with Linux base for the university library.  Responsible for the maintains of Windows desktop Pc’s nearly 200 number. Maintains of Network infrastructure and trouble shooting network problems.  Teaching courses to staff and student across the university. Supervising the admission procedure for Under Graduates and Post Graduate students using software.  Performing statistical analysis using the latest softwares like SPSS, WINDOSTAT, etc. Creating software for degree printing for convocation and the mark sheets of UG, PG & Agril Schools.
