Assistant Manager (Project Logistics)
Current- Budgeting, planning and commercial negotiations for projects including ODC as well as general cargo, including identifying reliable and cost-effective vendors for projects. - Key liaison with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH), for the permissions relevant to ODC movements across India, with a 100% approval rate.- Commercial negotiations with domestic and international offices of shipping lines, CHAs, vendors, and port & terminal operators. - Route optimization for major destination ports for achieving shortest transit time with lowest logistic cost, as well as knowledge of routes and surveys for project cargo movement.- Ensure tracking of all shipments to meet urgencies of deliveries and monitor inventory carrying cost to clients. Planning and execution of export dispatches to help clients achieve their export targets.- Knowledge of ports and port operations, shipping lines, customs procedures etc. for containerized and ODC cargoes. Documentation knowledge (import/export) for project cargo movement.- Contract negotiation with prospective clients as well as acting as key account manager for anchor projects
