Software Engineer
Current• Design and develop software systems and technical solutions that are used for Corporate Actions business purpose to help internal operations users to process entire lifecycle of various types of Corporate Actions including but not limited to Announcement Capture, Position Capture, Entitlement Calculation, Notification Delivery, Response Gathering and Payment.• Migrated angular components, modules and services from angular 11 to angular 12, created new e2e test scripts and deployed to production. • Developed reusable components in Java/Jxb using Spring/Hibernate frameworks to facilitate the life cycle of various Corp Actions like Cash Dividends, Tender, Rights Subscription, Cash/Stock Option etc.• Managed build activities using Jenkins and deployed the application using Unix shell scripts.• Developed complete new environment with more than 25 micro services, integrated with more than 10 other distributed systems and UI for Etrade testing.• Followed strict agile methodology using a tool called Agile Central. Have proficiency in creating features, capabilities, user stories and tasks within to track hours during scrum meetings.• Have been a part of the production deployment activities with the Application Support group and a primary contact for production support assistance from New York zone.• Developed knowledge of tools like Perforce for managing the source code, Leela for managing the web service components and Qmon for monitoring MQ related queue activities, Setup zookeepers, Kafka to run application on local as well on server, maintain services and load balancers using Treadmill and oneUI.• Converted http endpoints to https for security reasons across multiple platforms. • Maintained high volume data and legacy systems by Financial Advisers on daily basis. (enhanced and resolved tickets on urgent basis)• Managed to write complex queries for the application in DB2 and Sybase.
