Performance test engineering and environment maintainance

1. Requirement Gathering – Details like new features, code changes, infrastructure changes, volumetric details are collected during the kickoff meeting. SDS and BRDs are also used to infer more details. 2.Scope Management – Scope is defined based on the feasibility to implement test script, inclusion of regression tests etc.3. Business flow identification – UI steps/navigations are identified with the help of development team. For web-services, sample request/response, postman request, SOAPUI or Parasoft project is requested 4. Performance Scripts preparation and review- LR scripts are created using appropriate protocol. Scripts are created initially on PIN environment and then endpoints are updated to PAC once code is prompted to acceptance environment. Scripts created by offshore team are reviewed for consistency, parameterization, correlation etc. 5. DevOps implementaion , we are migrating LR scripts to SOASTA. Client has developed a SOASTA framework, using which tests can be kicked off automatically from Jenkins. 6. Performance scenario modelling and review – Pacing, Thinktime, VUsers are configured to achieve the target volumetric details. We mainly test two types of scenarios – 1. One hour capacity till 4X load and 2. Twelve hours 1X longevity test. 7. Environment readiness check and build control 8. Test execution, monitoring and review9. Result analysis and walkthroughs to all the stakeholders 10. Final signoff is given via email consisting of build version, CQR, open issue if any. 11. Defect Triage – Incidents are raised on HP Incident Management tool.12. Troubleshooting and fix production issue by running load tests for issue reproduction. 13. Managing and driving offshore team of 5-8 members 14. Implement of DevOps using SOASTA framework
