Spearheaded IMS presence server development using open source software

Single handedly did the complete technology transfer from Nokia research labs to Flextronics India labs. The technology involved moving cluster of servers and set of simulators from one location to other and recreating the whole development and test bed from scratch.Was technically responsible for maintaining customer relations, understanding new feature requirements, writing technical approach notes for new feature development, proposing effort and cost estimation, proposing performance enhancement to existing systems etc.Overall system involved simulating few hundred NodeBs, few thousand UEs and couple of RNCs.

Technical Leader for the India team that was involved in the development of 3G RNC Tester Platform at Nokia R&D labs.The technology involved writing lower layers of protocol in proprietary RTOS, higher layers in TAO SDL and integration of layers using C. It also involved integrating third party wireline protocols stacks (ALCAP, MTP3b, SCCP and other SS7 signaling protocols) with own stacks without impacting performance at any layer.Actively supported integration and introduction of research lab product into real life situation by participating in trials with European operators where real RNC platform along with simulated components were tightly integrated with existing live core network.Took initiative to learn new language and develop resource reservation program in Tcl/Tk that allowed effective use of scarce resources (RNC platforms) within team.

Responsible for the development of various modules (such as Handover) for 3G Base Station and UE NAS simulators using Telelogic (TAO) and Nokia proprietary tools (CVOPS) and C.Introduced innovative ways to build/compilation by tweaking makefiles and utilizing distributed infrastructure which led to 50% compile time reduction during the build process thereby also improving the overall productivity of the team sufficiently.

Development of telecom OAM modules (Manager side) using C++, iLogViews and Roguewave classes and utilizing SNMP protocols. The following modules were developed:1. Debug Logging Management2. Fault Management3. Configuration ManagementWas selected for representing Motorola India for the integration activity at Motorola - US for Sprint 3G trials. Was part of the global team that made the first 3G call in Japan with KDDI operator.
