Our mission is to Enable, Educate, and Empower people with visual impairments, fostering independence and dignity in their lives. Founded in 2004 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Vision-Aid has provided essential services to thousands across the country.We operate numerous programs focusing on vision rehabilitation, low vision care, and skill development training. Our extensive network of partners includes leading eye hospitals, schools for the blind, and community resource centers, spanning 47 locations in 13 cities and towns across India. In 2023 alone, Vision-Aid positively impacted the lives of around 20,000 visually impaired individuals, transforming and brightening their futures. This year (2024), our reach has grown even further, and continues to expand.Vision-Aid India is governed by a volunteer executive committee comprised of professionals with diverse expertise and a shared commitment to serving the visually impaired community.Having been engaged with Vision-Aid for over a decade, I have now taken on a more direct role, dedicating my personal time to this noble cause.We welcome contributions from organizations and individuals, whether through CSR funds, individual donations, volunteering, training, or job placements.
