Key Accountabilities:  Focus on procurement of mechanical equipment and spares related to upcoming Turn-around. Sole responsible for all mechanical and process related local and global Contracts and Services. Development of alternate vendors for quality improvement and cost reduction.  Costing/ cost analysis of all major contracts with current market trends.  Continuous tracking and understanding the market dynamics.  Development in Oracle ERP for best use and generating new reports for reduction of internal lead time and progressive smart working  Focus on development of OEM spares for cost saving and lead time improvement.

Key Accountabilities: Strategic:  Development of alternate vendors for reduction of cost and reduction of internal lead time.  Planning, developing and procuring materials, parts and equipments within stipulated time, cost, maintaining quality standards and specifications.  Costing/ cost analysis of all major equipments and spares with valid current market datasheets.  Re-engineering and indigenous of spare parts with development of new vendors or sourcing with existing vendors. Financial:  Procurement of capital material within the specified budget.  Continuous tracking and understanding the market dynamics for category items related to mechanical materials for projector bulk requirements.Customer/ External Orientation:  Interaction with suppliers, engineering consultants and contractors on a regular basis.  Satisfy the needs of internal customers in terms of timelines, price and quality. People Orientation:  Strengthen team engagement and cultivate a culture of high performance, work collaboratively with all stakeholders.  Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure the set productivity targets are met.  Continual development and implementation of purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures. Core Operational Accountabilities:  Procurement of equipments, high value items and other materials at competitive prices and within the desired time frame.  Negotiating, networking and dealing with numbers, as well as dealing with other factors such as sustainability, risk management and ethical issues.  Pre-order: Identification of requirement, Review of technical specification, preparation of RFQ/tender documents, selection of vendor, invitation of bids, reverse/ forward auction, commercial evaluation, conducting pre-award meetings and finalization, preparation of cost analysis, Note for approval and making Purchase Order and Annual Rate Contract.

1. Responsible for the procurement of Major Mechanical equipment and mechanical spare of Rolling Mill dept.2. Handling the procurement of Mechanical Equipments, spares parts and complete assemblies, gearboxes, oil & lubricants, bearings, Pipe & pipe fittings, Hydraulic & pneumatic cylinders, hoses, seal sets, valves and nozzle etc.. 3. Floating RFQ’s, receiving the offers, comparison chart, reverse auction, negotiation, valuation, tabulation and finalizing the orders and coordination with QC store and account dept.4. Weekly review meetings with users to find out the criticality of the materials.5. Spares availability, material planning and inventory control and to ensure the availability of the materials required to user dept. for proper maintenance of the critical equipments and along with Vendor interaction.
