I am a Master of Arts candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy at Mount Mercy University (MMU), where I am learning the theories and practices of systemic and relational therapy. I have a passion for social justice, advocacy, and empowering others to find their strongest and most confident selves. I am developing my skills in experiential therapy models while gaining hands-on experience in providing compassionate and ethical therapy to individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds and contexts. My goal is to become a licensed marriage and family therapist and to contribute to the advancement of mental health awareness and accessibility in Iowa and beyond.Also, I work as a Clinical Mental Health Support at Covenant Family Solutions (CFS), a leading provider of quality and accessible mental healthcare in Iowa. As part of a multidisciplinary team of therapists, counselors, and psychiatric nurse practitioners, I help clients with various mental health needs and goals, from intake and assessment to referral and follow-up. I have assisted with multiple projects and initiatives to enhance the client experience and satisfaction, such as streamlining the intake process, implementing a feedback system, and creating a resource guide.
