In this position, I am responsible for managing the strategic development and execution of Acadian’s global brand positioning, identity, and communications initiatives as well as media relations across all brands and geographies. Provide strategic direction for the evolution of Acadian’s brand and supporting architecture, improving brand awareness and competitive positioning in the market➢ Develop and refresh Acadian’s brands – including brand style guide and standards for print and digital to ensure global brand consistency ➢ Develop strategic global marketing campaigns to further Acadian’s presence in the market➢ Manage online marketing vehicles via digital and print properties➢ Manage branding activities including logo, tagline, key pillars and select elements to best communicate message➢ Responsible for building and managing Branding & Communications budget➢ Designs and socializes Brand and Marketing Communications Guidelines, including key messages and all aspects of the company’s visual identity➢ Composes, edits and manages the production of a full range of material to effectively support the advancement of the company’s business objectives➢ Manages internal & external designers, writers, agencies, video production teams and other creative staff in accordance with brand, messaging and art direction➢ Develop Acadian Seaplants video modules➢ Writes brand promises and key supporting documents➢ Oversees all online marketing intiatives➢ Communicates strategic initiatives to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate➢ Designs and implements communication strategies for Acadian and its brands➢ Manages media relations and requests for product information➢ Source opportunities to have Acadian related benefits and activities in publications➢ Source speaking opportunities for Acadian key note speakers
In this position, I was responsible for managing the technical standards for, production, approval and process for global disbursements of all technical, educational and editorial marketing tools with Plant Science Marketing, Sales & Research applications. ➢ Work within the Marketing budget to execute strategic marketing initiatives and to ensure alignment with tactical Marketing including regional media, trade shows, promotions, science exchanges and other initiatives➢ Work with VP, Plant Science in the production and approval of strategic projects such as to place the company, its brands and products in a position where they can be successfully differentiated➢ Develop and manage presentation skills coaching modules for training colleagues➢ Execute the marketing strategy by ensuring marketable pieces are created efficiently for immediate use in the field➢ Lead product registration in Canadao Successfully gained CFIA approval for 1st registered seaweed product in Canada➢ Ensure timely exchange of all fundamental, applied and field-practical research into the promotion of Acadian products, people, science and innovation➢ Serve as the spokesperson for the VP, Plant Science as assigned including as reporter for Plant Science Marketing to the Science Review Board, Plant Science Research and Development and other circumstances as they arise➢ Co-chair the Marketable Research Action Committee (MRAC). ➢ Build a system to secure field input to every MRAC meeting to assure grower and customer needs are tabled, prioritized and addressed. ➢ Build and manage a living archive of competitive information and the system for Regional gathering, storage and utilization to guide Plant Science strategies.➢ Participate in the strategic identification, development and implementation of new marketing tools, new markets and best-in-class customer marketing relationships.
