The group has launched a fund to develop, own and operate a portfolio of a number of Holiday Inn Express® and EVEN® hotels in Australia and New Zealand under franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).As the Group Director of Finance & Business Support my role is to drive hotel financial performance, through developing and maintaining efficient ways of working, analysing optimal market mix to maximise hotel revenue and profitability, and ensuring all stakeholders are complying with industrial relations legislations. My role and tasks stretch across setting up and opening new build hotels, and the operational properties. The position also provides guidance and support for all new hotel development projects in relation to hotel operations, commercial performance and optimised hotel design, rooms mix and layout. As the Manager of Finance & Business Support and Development Analysis, my role was to review, analyse and present a consolidated summary on monthly forecasts, month-end performance, and annual budgets for managed Australasian and franchised Korean hotels. These regular and other ad hoc management reports, were distributed to the regional COO, CFO, Head of Operations, Head of Finance for their reporting purposes.The position also required preparation of detailed financial projections for new and conversion hotel opportunities, by working with Corporate Finance, Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing & Director of Operations, and through actively sourcing market information and third party research to support development projections.
