I am a Nondestructive Testing (NDT) engineer in the Welding, Processing and Nondestructive Evaluation Branch of the Materials and Manufacturing Technology Division at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD).I have held certifications in Radiography Testing, visual testing, magnetic particle testing and liquid penetrant testing. I love love loooooove volunteering in various Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) outreach programs such as FIRST Lego League, Sea Perch and Math Counts, and in the Washington,D.C., metropolitan area. I also love participating in College and Professional Recruiting for NAVSEA to bring great talent to our workforce. Currently I am on rotation from NSWCCD with NavalX. NavalX under the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, and Acquisition (ASN RDA) serves as the Department of Navy (DON) workforce "super-connector," focused on scaling non-traditional agility methods across the DON workforce. I host and coordinate Seaside Chats, training workshops, and am a design thinking facilitator who uses agile methods of processing information to help various DON organizations with better paths to getting solutions for their projects.Outside of work I love to travel and visit new cities, states, and countries trying new foods. I am also a public speaker and speaks on various topics that I am passionate bout.
