Administrative And Human Resources InternInternational Justice Mission Jan 2013 - Nov 2013Arlington, Va, UsInternational Justice Mission exists to rescue and restore victims of violent oppression and transform public justice systems to prevent further abuse. IJM's field office in Manila began 2013 with ambitious recruitment goals. I took the lead in the talent search process by developing and posting job descriptions, vetting over 1,000 resumes, conducting nearly 200 screening calls, and arranging over 100 in-person interviews. Seventeen new staff members joined the team during my internship, nearly doubling the size of the office. To standardize hiring, I designed tailored interview questions and developed the office's best practices for recruitment. In order to help our new staff as they transitioned, I also created a holistic employee manual and designed and implemented IJM's first official 3-day orientation event.During my ten months with IJM in Manila, I developed skills in leadership, improving office recruitment strategy and effectiveness, and thriving in a cross-cultural context. -
