Deep down, I am a data nerd at heart. My first data-oriented role involved migrating electronic medical records (EMR) data from one system to another. Since then, I have worked for multinational publicly traded corporations, a privately held startup, and nonprofit organizations, gaining exposure to a variety of relational and NoSQL databases, data storage platforms, file formats, ETL tools, cloud platforms, and reporting and data visualization tools. As a lifelong learner, I constantly seek opportunities at work and in my personal life to gain new skills and hear different perspectives. I am open to new ideas and comfortably adapt to shifting priorities and goals.I believe it's important to know what's new and trending, and equally important to know when a tried and true method is a more appropriate fit for a project. The progression of my career demonstrates an ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving existing products while simultaneously learning and responsibly incorporating new technologies.
