CART Program, Multiple Myeloma Research

Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Research* Coordinates screening procedures, investigational therapies, and follow up procedures for patients undergoing cellular therapy or bone marrow transplant.* Ensures all patients meet eligibility criteria per protocol* Provides clinical team education related to new or updated protocols and the clinical trial process* Provides patient education regarding investigational product, clinical trial components, and follow up care* Presents patient updates in investigator meetings* Leads a weekly meeting to manage research patient flow, progress, and potential barriers with multidisciplinary team* Manage logistics with sponsors and CROs for ongoing or new clinical trials* Assesses for Adverse Events and hold parameters for patients receiving investigational therapy* Reviews protocols during start up for feasibility and to coordinate with involved departments* Collaborates with other members of research team to identify areas of improvement post first patient enrollment, monitor visits, and as needed* Reviews IIT protocols with investigators to ensure feasibility and to advise of schedule of assessments *Oversees Clinical Research Specialist patient related activities

Bone Marrow Transplant Unit* Specialize in the nursing care of patients receiving bone marrow transplants* Perform and monitor infusions of stem cells including Autologous, Allogenic, and Car-T cells as well as investigational products for admitted patients* Administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy* Ensure efficacy of treatments through monitoring through monitoring of treatment regimens* Management and assessment of post- transplant complications including infections, Thrombocytopenia, Anemia and acute/chronic GVHD* Provide and reinforce pre- and post- transplant education to patient and family* Roles included: Charge Nurse, Preceptor, Outfield Chemotherapy Nurse, Unit Council Secretary

Provides one-on-one patient observations to improve patient outcomes and safety. Assists patients with self-care and ambulation

Directs the Community Health Committee, recruits participants, calls meetings to order, sets agendas for meetings, and directs community involvement projects,

Responsible for the promotion and implementation of a state community healthproject, works to develop or participate in statewide or national community serviceprojects, assists local chapters in developing or participating in statewide or nationalcommunity service projects, and coordinates and submits the annual NSNA Community Health Award

Cardiovascular PACU: Worked with registered nurse to obtain assessments, blood samples, and assisting patients with post-operative recovery.
