Physician Liaison
Current- Drives referral volumes by partnering with over 1,200 Carilion network providers and acts as a central resource focused on increasing knowledge, awareness, strategy, and involvement of programs/services within our network, to ultimately increase bottom-line revenue while exceeding patient expectations- Develops and manages referring provider relationships utilizing field and virtual engagement to promote new specialists and their services offered- Coordinates with referring physicians, senior Carilion leadership, service line physicians, and other key stakeholders to improve inter-network communications and drive operational efficiencies- Identifies strategies and related tactics to promote provider interaction and engagement, including new provider orientation, site visits, staff meetings, social events, referral meetings and other direct communications- Triages and escalates emerging trends in service, communication and operational barriers expressed directly by referral sources, to mitigate potential risks to referral volumes and/or patient experience- Spearheaded the development and implementation of a unique network-wide referral-focused newsletter during the pandemic, that dramatically improved the efficiency and reach of the Carilion Physician Liaisons
