As soon as I chose accounting at school as a subject, I knew straight away that I wanted to make a career out of it. I did some work experience through my final years in high school with my parent's accountant. Once a week Don Stubbs at FACTS Accountants would give up his time to help me get a better understanding of how the accounting industry works.After I had completed year 12, my family and I relocated to Sydney. I enrolled in an Advanced Diploma of Accounting course at Tafe NSW in 2005 to get me into my second year at University. I also then got a part-time job at Palmers Chartered Accountants to help with my studies. Ron Palmer was a very patient man in my learning, and was always challenging me to grow. I learnt not only how to prepare accounts and tax for business client and individual returns, but to also prepare ASIC documentation, a brief few months on auditing experience and on self managed superannuation.In July 2007 my family and I relocated back to the Gold Coast. I enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at Griffith University to finish my studies. I also begun working for Munro Accountants in August 2007. I have had great learning experiences since starting with Munro Accountants, which has helped me to grow. I currently work at Munro Accountants (Gold Coast Accountant) that provides innovative accounting services.I moved into the Self Managed Superannuation department in September 2010 under Rob McAskill. Although I enjoy business compliance work, I found that self managed superannuation interested me.
