I am a driven and focused manager with nearly 20 years of experience managing teams and organizing for progressive social change. Having worked in both government and the non-profit advocacy space, I am particularly skilled at policy development, public engagement, convening diverse groups of stakeholders, and persuading decision-makers to take action. More than half of my career has been spent advocating for common sense environmental and public health protections, and through that work, I’ve developed a deep knowledge of our regional environmental challenges, a strong understanding of the best practice solutions, and excellent relationships with stakeholders and experts.But here are three things that aren't on my resume: 1) Once upon a time, I played competitive roller derby for the Steel City team. My derby name? Auntie Establishment. It's been a long time since I've strapped on skates and pads, but I've never let go of the DIY spirit of that game or the friends I made on the track. 2) If it's above 50 degrees, you'll probably find me in the garden! Digging in the dirt and monitoring my plants are my preferred forms of meditation between March and October. 3) I've learned that most things can be learned on YouTube with enough research. I've plumbed sinks, installed flooring and drywall, and I'm currently learning about the patience required for good finish carpentry.
