Hello! My name is Ash and I am an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.I am passionate about improving the lives of people with chronic disease as well as growing the Exercise Physiology profession. Spreading the exercise is medicine message one day at a time! I am currently the chair of the Victorian Exercise Physiologists in Hospitals and Community Health Network as well the the Victorian representative on the Public Health Exercise Physiology Advisory Network. Over the past 6 years I have worked across multiple public health services mostly in community rehabilitation but also inpatient rehabilitation and community health as well as a range of different committees and working parties. I enjoy continuing to learn and challenge myself as an AEP with the different opportunities that become available as our profession continues to grow.

Exercise PhysiologistMonash Health Feb 2023 - PresentVictorian Heart Hospital - Australia's first standalone cardiac hospital I was the first Exercise Physiologist at the Victorian Heart Hospital. I am part of a team who deliver inpatient and ambulatory cardiac rehab, this includes the evening rehabilitation program for people who work full time, the women's health program for people with SCAD and traditional cardiac rehabilitation group program. Throughout the opening of the hospital I worked closely with the program lead and nursing team to establish the program, select outcome measures and develop exercise interventions.

Exercise PhysiologistSwan Hill District Health Jul 2018 - Jan 2023At SHDH, I was part of a team of five EPs within the Physiotherapy Department. We worked very well together across all areas of the exercise physiology scope. I rotated between inpatient rehab, HARP and outpatients which includes managing a mixed caseload of cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic and oncology clientele as well as 10 different exercise groups. During my time I was able to implement new programs such as Dialysis Exercise, Diabetes Exercise Group and the Active Ward Initiative as well as countless quality improvement projects. As a Gr 2 EP I supervised students completing their Master of Exercise Physiology and participated in the accreditation process for our hospital. I was also an active member of multiple committees and working parties across the organisation and region. -

The Social Support Groups department run programs for older adults and CALD populations (Italian and Afghan) five days per week.
