I underwent a 10 week block placement at Therapy Alliance Group. In this role I worked with paediatric clients with communication difficulties. I conducted assessment, wrote reports, built rapport, and completed intervention.

I have completed a 2 month placement working in acute care at the Mackay Base Hospital. Within this role I was given the opportunity to work with patients requiring support after complications in surgery, post stroke, worsening dementia, or Parkinson’s disease. Further, I was given the opportunity to run the outpatient cancer care clinic alongside a dietician for people undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. I completed a 10 week sessional placement at the UQ Aphasia clinic. During this placement I conducted assessment, wrote therapy plans, completed intervention (individual and group). I conducted 80% of sessions via Telehealth, and 20% of sessions face to face.

Paediatric Allied Health Assistant. Within this role I worked with children to conduct intervention to work towards achieving communication goals helping to improve their quality of life.
