I have explored varying fields of employment (including administration, customer service and sales) in order to develop a wide variety of skills and a deeper understanding of not only how each industry operates, but also the differing demographics of customers each company faces. I was able to smoothly transition to each job due to the multitude of transferable skills I have gained over time. My current position at Next as a sales assistant has taught me how to create visual displays, upsell and cross-sell, improve my quality of service and handle stock. My other position as Administrative Assistant at LG Building Contractors constantly improves my data management and organisation skills, providing me with insight into one of the many functional areas within the business environment.Studying business for 7 years has given me foundational knowledge that I am currently building on at university, and the combination of my experiences and education has made me realise I want to pursue this indefinitely, exciting me to continue studying business in more depth. Having decided to continue down the marketing pathway in my 2nd university year, I am constantly sourcing information online and looking to make connections with like-minded individuals who I can learn from.
